22. This is/was a risky gambit on the part of Dems

Because if these fools get elected, the damage to our system will be incalculable.

However, the idea that Republicans are howling over the move, insisting that the Dems can no longer say they act on principle is beyond ludicrous.

The GOP enabled a frigging insurrection, then tried to cover it up. What's worse than that???

We're in a life or death battle for the country. Remember all the complaints of Dems bringing a knife to a gunfight? You can't have it both ways.

Do I wish this wasn't a tactic? Yes.

But if it works, I doubt there will be little howling at the end of the day.

Btw, Will Bunch, a columnist at the Philadelphia Inquirer, suggested that Josh Shapiro wishing for Doug Mastriano as an opponent, was an equally risky sentiment. Bunch's take was: Be careful what you wish for. According to the polling so far, however, Josh Shapiro was on the money bc Mastriano has turned off a large swath of the electorate by shooting his mouth off and letting the crazy hang out. Listened to an Arizona Republican last night who predicted a 'bloodbath' in his own state because of the primary results where crazy ruled.

We shall see who was right. But the gall of Republicans shouting foul is beyond belief!
