I can't believe the RW completely missed the point of the Barbie movie. [View all]
I mean, this is the perceptive crowd that worked out that J6 was patriotic tourists with 'Love in their hearts' (TFG) wanting to actively participate in the democratic process. -sarcasm
[SPOILERS]
At the end of movie Barbie chooses to live in the real world, with all the patriarchy, tears, and death that comes with it, over Barbie Land, where every day is perfect, and Barbie dolls can be whatever they want to be. Barbie makes that decision after her mother, Ruth Handler (the inventor of Barbie) shows her the joys - of being a child, of growing up, of love, and (gasp) of being a parent.
The real world is anything but perfect, but, as Ruth says to Barbie,We mothers stand still so our daughters can look back to see how far they have come.
And the RW thinks Barbie devalues mothers and family. Of course they do. Their family values are little kids doing active shooter drills. But anything - anything that threatens fragile male egos, even comedy, must be woke beyond belief.
