10. You might want to double-check with your doctor about the arm restriction

My mother (double radical mastectomy + lymphedema) and I (partial mastectomy with 3 lymph nodes removed) are able to get shots in either arm - for us the restriction is solely to putting a tourniquette on the arm (so no blood draws, no blood pressure in the impacted arm). I'm not sure what my mother does now that both arms are involved (the mastectomy was done in stages), and her lymphedema is in remission. The restrictions were likely more severe (like no skin breaks) when she had lymphedema.
