In reply to the discussion: I got the RSV vaccine today. [View all]Pinback
(12,198 posts)Im waiting on flu vax til theres an increase in cases in my region, per the advice of Dr. Michael Osterholm (CIDRAP, U. Minn.). Ill get the new COVID booster as soon as its available.
I did have gastro issues 36 hours after getting the RSV shot (diarrhea, vomiting, both briefly and then gone). Its possible that it was related to the vaccine, but it really felt more like food poisoning. And Ive gotten lots of vaccinations over the last several years shingles, flu multiple shots, all the COVID shots (Moderna), and anything else I can get into my arm (yes, I admit it, Im a vax junkie!! ).
Typically my reaction to all the recent vaccines has been fatigue, arm soreness, and sometimes a mild fever. The RSV shot gave me very mild fatigue, no arm soreness, and just a hint of fever. So maybe its just a different animal altogether, at least for my metabolism. Hard to know until I get another one next year.
