If the donors start withholding money to congressional races like they did these past few weeks, and demand some senators or congressional leaders break with Harris, it'll create the same doom loop that forced Biden out.
All it takes is for one or two senators and a few congresspeople to pump the brakes on Harris, and the media will latch onto it like they're the most important voice in the country.
Think of the Democrats who publicly called on Biden to step aside. How many were really well known or influential? The biggest was Schiff and he isn't even a senator yet. Biden consistently had the backing of the more high-profiled party leaders.
And it didn't matter in the end.
Maybe Harris weathers it better but I'm afraid the doom loop will start, her polling will drop, the narrative will set in that she can't win and we'll be right back here in a few weeks.
