(53,887 posts)We will have a new nominee who WILL BE GREAT. They will be a fantastic Democratic who will bring a host of policies to improve this country. If our nominee is Kamala Harris, she will continue Biden's legacy. Whoever the nominee is will take off where Biden left off. You feel sad. Your candidate is out. It's okay to feel sad. But don't let yourself get overwhelmed. All is not lost. Many in the party think we are in fact in a better position to win now. We will rally around the nominee, work hard to GOTV, and win this election!
I think part of the problem with creating a closed narrative loop is that people come to believe that only one way is possible. Because people succeeded in banning all talk of replacing Biden, despite the robust discussion in the political sphere, they were not prepared for this outcome. All news discussing this possibility was declared fake. Well, obviously it wasn't fake. You all just closed your eyes and ears to it. Had open discussion been allowed, you'd have been more prepared for this outcome. I'm sorry it's come as such a shock to you.
