(70,628 posts)What then? Oops, we did our best I guess. All these folks- elected and money assholes- think they know better than voters. I don't agree. Either we have a Republic where folks vote and voting is respected...and not interfered with or we don't. And I will say this. It is my opinion that Biden was forced out by the donors blackmailing those who wanted donor money. Seriously, it makes me sick.
Of course, I will vote for the nominee...and it better be Kamala if we want to have any chance of winning. Also, it needs to be soon. Don't wait until the convention. The projected nominee needs to campaign immediately...not a month before early voting starts which would be right after the convention. We also need to bring in the lawyers immediately and try to tamp down the lawsuits from Republicans who will try to keep us off of presidential ballots: especially in swing states. The courts do not favor us as many know.
Many here know that I am the eternal optimist...but not this time. I hope we stop Trump. But I am worried. Those who orchestrated this took a terrible risk for fucking money...even though our Republic may not survive Trump. Well, let's get this show on the road before the convention. Some here call for an open convention which would almost certainly destroy our chances in the General.
