(47,090 posts)37. Demographics have been shifting. That's how we gained new blue states
like Georgia and Arizona, and a few elections back it was Virginia and Colorado.
But that has also lost us some voters in previously solid blue states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and PA.
Plenty of urban folks have moved to places with lower cost of living, warmer climates, different job opportunities than the old rust belt type, and so on.
