Funny Response in the Comments Section at The Atlantic Article: Scalia's Blistering Dissent on DOMA [View all]
The following is a response to a "complainer" basically saying God designed sex organs "both man and woman he". Be forewarned that I find elaborate and informed silliness to be uproarious. Also be forewarned that the Old Testament gets a drubbing.
"Kratoklastes
'design' of the organs involved? Oh dearie dearie me...
Here's the thing:
EVEN IF the ludicrous collection of Iron Age primitive gibberish in the Old Testament is true (leaving aside that it's so manifestly wrong in core aspects of its description of the physical universe that it CAN'T be true); and
EVEN IF Yahweh 'designed' our pee-pees, froo-froos and poo-chutes...
...it beggars belief that the entity that created 100 quintillion stars in one day gives a solitary tinker's cuss about whether or not someone puts their pee-pee in someone else's poo-chute. It would go into Yahweh's "meh" basket.
Frankly, if Yahweh's against anything, I support it: by any objective reading of the Old Testament Yahweh is a douchenozzle of the first water, and if he did exist we would be obliged to try and exterminate him."
