(5,946 posts)I just could not stop it, that was my horror. The police were on notice not to pick on Blacks that day so they picked on the people they hated the next most then, white College students. The uncle also said if boyfriend sued, the uncle would not back him up and he better plan to move out of state fast because he would have a target on his back. This is when I realized the "brotherhood of cops" was a criminal organization.
If you don't have money in this country you are screwed. It is so easy to end up in jail for nothing. I have tried to tell people, but they just believe what they say on the news about the policeman being your friend. I personally have only been threatened once by a policeman, and he had just lost his badge and was high on pot and cocaine when he pulled his gun on me because I resisted his advances since I was eating dinner with a friend (idjit guy) and was newly married - most of the people around me recognized it was out of control situation including his once partner who ended the situation by talking him into putting his gun away and tackling him and a local politician who was pretty much in shock for most of it but also shooed the young cop out of the restaurant. I was told I would regret it if I reported this guy who was close to killing me because I wanted to eat my dinner and go home. On a positive note, the owner of the restaurant comped my dinner.
