(62,325 posts)from a country that every intelligent person in the world knew, had been completely disarmed over the previous decade and knew also they had nothing to do with 9/11.
So yes, apparently when 70% of a nation that should have known better, believed those lies that has led to the horrific disaster in the ME, still ongoing, we ARE a nation of sheep.
I'm proud to have been one of the 30% who knew that it 'was all lies'.
The same nation looked the other way from torture and some now believe that the torturers were 'just patriots' who were frustrated.
Again, I am proud to be one of those who knows that torture is a war crime. And just as I knew in 2003 that we who knew they were lying would be vindicated, I know we will again be vindicated for seeing through all the other lies they've been telling us.
At least the country is waking up, with a majority now believing very little of what they are told. That's what happens when governments get away with lies, few believe them anymore.
