He thinks this issue will put some swing states in to play (i.e. North Carolina).

I hope he is mistaken.

The great thing about his focusing on this issue (for him, or so he thinks) is that he doesn't have to talk too much about economic issues. Conservatives desire to lower tax rates and capital gains rates for the wealthy while simultaneously advocating for elimination of tax deductions that will ensure middle class, working class, and poor people pay more taxes SHOULD be the death knell for the Republican Party. There are a lot of ignorant, misinformed, and hateful people in this country though. I hope they are the minority.
