People get married for all sorts of reasons and the ground rules are unique to each marriage. What some of us consider deal breakers are part of the agreement in others.

I suspect Bill's adventures were at some point part of the agreement...... even if unspoken. But out in the open after he's a political celebrity is not productive at all so something had to change.

For Trump, likely Ivana thought it was the real deal. Her pain at the time was pretty obvious. After her, I would expect the other women to understand... via legal prenup.... that she's guaranteed so much $ during and after the marriage to be there for The Donald's exclusive beck and call until such time as he changes his mind.

Whatever floats your boat...... consenting adult wise IMHO.
