5. While this does sound scary, it doesn't surprise me that it has to be this dangerous

to really kill toenail fungus. Because I've had it for almost 30 years now and I've tried tea tree oil to no affect. I've been treated by a podiatrist (he fucked up two of my nails permanently and still didn't get rid of it, and I don't believe there is any safe way to treat it successfully. The current drugs on the market have serious side effects too, so I've never been willing to try them.

I've given up trying.

Maybe there are different types of fungus or maybe some people just have a harder time shaking it, but I think, as big a problem as it is, if there was an easy cheap and safe cure, everyone would know about it by now.

Don't worry, I won't try this new drug either.

and to update for recent posts. I don't even wear shoes. I can't, because of foot problems, some of which are caused by toenail fungus. I wear open sandals or flip flops...that's it. So all the suggestions posted here may work for some of you, but they sure don't work for the general public that suffers with this crap. Older people especially.

I first got it from a toenail injury when I was running (jogging). I lost a toenail and it grew back in with the fungus. I saw a doctor but he couldn't fix it and it's spread and now most of my toes have it. I hate this fucking shit. I can't even cut some of my nails they are so thick and warped. It's embarrassing as hell, especially since I have to wear open sandals.
