But I've also found that simply taking someone off all my feeds works really well. If they have something nice to say, another friend will "like" the post and then I'll see it. But if they're just popping off, I don't see any of it.

If you feel you must absolutely respond to some asinine Facebook post (and I confess, sometimes I do), make it short and to the point. No more than two sentences, and address one specific thing that you know for a fact is wrong in their post (that is, not a matter of interpretation or opinion).
