(26,266 posts)Days when all I could manage was a cup of coffee, to ward off a headache, and then a scrambled egg or bowl of soup, late in the day. I didn't even leave the house until Saturday.
I talked with friends, but we were all in the same mental state. I was told by one to just get a grip and accept it. After all, it was just an election. My cousin told me if I was worried about driving around in my car with Democratic-centric bumper stickers, I should take them off and replace them with Trump bumper stickers. Yes, he really said that. I am quite sure he has never heard the 'f bomb' strung together so many times, in once sentence. I don't expect to hear from him, again, any time soon.
The one thing that could always give me some nice distraction is my little cat, Sophie Stinky Toes. She was practically glued to my side, for a good four days. She purred, head bonked, licked, and snuggled me through some dark thoughts.
And now I have my DU friends, again.
