I just don't agree with that. As I noted in an earlier post, many Trump voters only heard from Trump what they wanted to hear. It is somewhat like people who are in love. They only see good in their partner.
I've talked to many Trump supporters of my acquaintance. Yes, some voted for Trump for racist reasons. But many more went for Trump out of desperation. I'm from a rust-belt state, and many of my middle-aged friends are desperate. There are no good jobs, and they are afraid. So they followed the Pied Piper.
Those Trump voters are not evil, or racist. They just made a bad choice in 2016.
