(5,817 posts)I feel pretty helpless to do anything to stop what seems inevitable. The people we count on to do the People's business are letting us down. As individuals we have very limited power to make a difference in something this big. So we turn to our elected officials to use their power and influence. Why are we not hearing a nonstop chatter about what the elected people will do to stop this nightmare?
I know there are organized groups and the Women's March on January 21st in DC but damn it, Trump should not be inaugurated. And no one seems to be doing a thing to get to the bottom of this sad, sorry affair. Will one of our esteemed congress critters lift a finger or even release a statement?? I am hoping that by Sunday or Monday we'll see some real action but I won't hold my breath. We are screwed.....
Will someone who knows explain if our Constitution covers the situation we find ourselves in?? I am pretty sure we don't have "Do-Overs", but what happens when there is cheating, fraud and interference in the election process? Did the framers of the Constitution envision such a scenario?
