(6,974 posts)Yes, many are done and living in a fantasy world.
I have friends from WV and to a person, they all say that they're never going back to visit family/friends still remaining there because they tell me that they're family members are racist and sexist--all that "good" stuff My friend told me that her uncle told her just 2 years ago that "Mexicans are taking their coal mining jobs." I don't live in WV, but are Mexicans responsible for taking coal mining jobs in WV? Again, My friend told me that her uncle whose a coal miner told her that just 2 years ago. I asked my friend earlier this week if her uncle knows that coal miners ARE going to be losing their health insurance (Thanks to thuglicans who they love and vote for without FAIL) and she told me she has NO intention of calling down then to check in on him or her other coal-loving family members post Nov. 8th, and that she really doesn't CARE what the hell happens to them.
I also have a very good friend from Ohio (Lucky that her parents got her & her brother out of Ohio as kids in 1970 and moved them to Ca.), and she said that as of this past summer's last family reunion (Her last family reunion), that she's never going back with her husband/children to visit her family members in Ohio. She "blessed" her racist family members out and told them to kiss her California-dwelling, Democratic ass. She said she does feel for a 67 year old Aunt who isn't racist or a dummy and who agrees with her ideologically, but is stuck living with her racist 47 year old POS son and his extremely racist POS wife and she has to go along to get along.
