(27,814 posts)... the JPR types are typically non-voters. They are wholly dedicated to finding every candidate NOT pure enough, NOT good enough, NOT in keeping with their wants.
Had Bernie been the Dem nominee, I'd wager that most of his supporters on JPR would have started finding fault with him the second his candidacy was announced.
For people like JPR posters, the feigned outrage about anyone who runs for office is far more important than supporting any candidate. They see everyone as unworthy of their support - "support" which is usually restricted to posting on websites.
That's why they are often drawn to the "under dog" in any race - as Bernie was in 2016. It means they can claim that they he was "robbed" by the evil Democratic PTB, and further claim that they would have been behind him all the way. The truth is they wouldn't have been.
