Wikipedia says more of his career was spent at Burlington Northern RR and Illinois Central RR. Early retirement, then he came to work for Pershing Square Capital Management in mergers and acquisitions. Some lawsuits, proxy battles, contract breeches, etc. then he came to CSX as their CEO in March. This guy probably died very rich, but it looks like he screwed a lot of people along the way.
