The tentative deal, announced Monday evening by congressional negotiators, would provide only a fraction of the $5.7 billion President Trump was seeking for 200 miles of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. It would instead provide $1.375 billion for 55 miles of new border fences.
I cant say Im happy. I cant say Im thrilled, Trump said of the deal.
Unless a border deal is signed into law, the government will enter another partial shutdown on Saturday.

A "pocket veto" only applies at the end of the Congressional term (before adjournment).
