Over the last about 20 years and especially lately school safety has been an ongoing topic in Madison, including the recent school board elections. I don't know this Balles guy. I think his intention was to convey to any parents that this incident is an exception and not the rule, Madison schools are safe to enroll their children. Obviously, he put his foot in his mouth.
