will be obtainable by investigators, without the usual legal wrangling by his lawyers to suppress evidence, resist subpoenas, and limit the scope of warrants. Just as the criminal case against him evaporated into the ether with his death, so too do his 4th and 5th Amendment protections (AFAIK, but IANAL).

On the other hand, he can't elaborate on the evidence, or testify to his personal observations, and that is very good for them.
