8. A prosecution of this incident would get a lot more blowback than did the George Floyd case.

That is not a compelling reason to hold back, obviously, but it's a factor. A case could be made for making better use of the prosecutorial resources and court time for dealing with other offenders. Especially if concurrent sentencing is likely for Chauvin.

I have no idea if that is a likely outcome or not - just putting it out there.
