I know a guy who, at one time, was a vice president and associate general counsel of a MAJOR football university. His job on game days was to walk around the area near the stadium and confiscate merchandise from vendors that wasn’t licensed by the school. He did it at away games with their biggest rival, too.

And that doesn’t even take into account lawsuits for injunctions and damages.
