Van De Putte Says Republicans Changed Time Stamp On SB 5 Voting Record
Sen. Leticia Van De Putte, D-San Antonio, said Republicans in the Senate, including the lieutenant governor, asked clerks to make a last-minute change when a vote was taken on SB 5, the senate's abortion bill.
View both versions of the Senate voting record below.
Van De Putte said the Texas Legislative Library first showed that the bill had passed on 6/26/13 with a time stamp of 12:03 a.m. About 15 minutes later the clerks were told that they needed to change it to the 25th.
