(108,978 posts)Example 1: Colin Powell, working under the 1950 public records act, can put all his non-classified emails on a private server instead of a .gov account and make no copies and DELETE them all when he leaves office. But when Hillary Clinton, working under the exact same 1950 public records act, puts her non-classified emails on a private server instead of a .gov account, and saves them, and even prints them all out (as the law requires) -- then she's a TERRIBLE PERSON.
Example 2: Every Presidential candidate since 1976 has released multiple years of tax returns. Hillary beat them all by releasing 30 years worth, including years when neither of them were in public office. Bernie doesn't want to release more than one year of his, so he's trying to distract from that by demanding to see Hillary's speech transcripts. Even though no Presidential candidate has ever been asked to do so before. Even though many candidates in the past have delivered paid speeches (John Kerry did while he was still in the Senate because it was legal then.) No, this is just a special, made-up requirement for the first woman ever to get this far in the Democratic primaries.
