Though I would have voted remain if I was a UK citizen, people from the areas that voted leave have legitimate grievances because often those areas of the country have been left behind economically. They were looking for a target for their anger. And the leave leaders gave them one exploiting their legitimate anger to buy their ugly rhetoric.

Remain, if I understand correctly used doom and gloom scenarios to try and get people to vote remain.


Did remain offer solutions like more job investment in communities that were suffering from deindustrizaton? That might have produced a more positive vote.
