I took Boudicca to the vet, this morning, full expecting to bring her home in a cremation box [View all]

But.... she is defying the odds and actually put on a few ounces of weight! Admittedly, I am over indulging her with treats, but the vet said that's the right thing to do, now.

The tumor hasn't grown and no there's infection, so another shot of steroids and antibiotics, some appetite triggering medication and she's back home. The vet said he just doesn't think she's done snuggling, in this lifetime, yet. I know that time will come, sooner rather than later, but my heavy heart, from this morning, feels so much lighter, now.

And, she LOVES her vet. She tried to follow him out of the exam room! She does NOT love the process of getting there, and returning home, though. She snubbed me for a full 3 seconds, when she fled her crate.

This is her, impatiently waiting for the vet to return. Funny thing, before she fell ill, she was a typical tortie - you could pet her for just so long, and then the attitude would kick in. Now, she can't get enough love. I think she's stocking up on scritches.
