Cats in Turkey, esp. Istanbul, have the upper hand over
Human convenience. Ataturk said that if he could
Reincarnate, he'd return as a cat. The last time I was
there, Istanbul was under military authority. On a
Corner, we saw an armed soldier with little
Bowls at his boots for the kitten he was feeding.
