(6,361 posts)54. I got 2 (or 3?) tickets for a smoking vehicle (50 yrs driving)
The 2nd (or 3rd, I can't remember now) required a trip to court.
Before the court date, I donated the vehicle to the Fire Dept.
Got before the judge with a letter from a Lt. in the Fire Dept. that said in part, "This vehicle has since been destroyed in our auto-extrication class."
Judge chuckled, "Case dismissed."

Five I think in 57 years. The last one was an illegal U-turn in front of a cop.
