That is not true, it is well known that Agrisearch (it use to be called DSIR or something)- a government research and industrial development agency alongside Monsanto brought GMO seeds into NZ for research purposes and paid farmers to grow for studies back in the 80s and 90s. They had advertisements asking for land owners to join trials through local universities. I remember because they approached my family whom owned land and my father told them to bugger off.
But the rest of your post is in all probability - all too true. GMOs were banned in NZ however the government did this to appease the public. They import food from outside of NZ and do not label it despite our laws stating that it must be. Many of the members of the NZ govt are a pack of highly sought political prostitutes.
