Some of those people were really--and I mean really--pissed off. Not just his staffers, but some of the staffers from that group of "Contract on America" assholes he brought with him (it was actually called the Contract With America, but I always thought it was more like a mob hit, what he was planning).

I had to deal with some of them on occasion in the context of my work, and when stuff started unravelling, they weren't happy campers at all. Some of them--because they were such jerks and so damn mean to others--were finding doors slammed in their faces when they went looking for new jobs.

You know what they say about revenge...a dish best served cold?
