It made me think of a new guy who has started attending my beginners' meeting. He apparently had long time sobriety and then relapsed for quite awhile and now he's back - and he seems to have difficulty speaking and reading. It's heartbreaking to see those who suffer permanent damage, it would be a miracle if there was something that could help them and also help prevent relapse.
