Why do some Americans always insist life requires a gun? I've known hundreds of people in my many years on this earth and none of them have ever been beaten or shot by bullies, thugs, or criminals. No one I know owns or carries a firearm, which means none of us has to keep track of our weapon when we're out, when we fly, or when we're around kids. No one steals our gun. No one will be shot by accident in my home.
