if we could nail the exact location and time?

Just wondering if this would be a viable warning system. Currently, warnings are rather vague because of our lack of knowledge/data. This shot required daylight, of course, but if we could find a way to visually present density info from space at depth, perhaps we could spot and project dangerous waves similar to this.
