She prefers to be called a progressive instead of a liberal because of the negative connotations behind the word liberal. Trying to twist that to mean something other than what she obviously means is completely disingenuous.

She has never referred to herself as a liberal and I have never referred to her as one.

Progressive doesn't mean liberal in its current usage. It's a DLC reinvention of the word.
