What this primary season has showed is that it doesn't even matter if you have the numbers behind you - if the "machine" is working against you, throwing out ballots and erasing your voters from the registration, they can steal any election they want. In the end, the army of corrupt bureaucrats is more valuable than any campaign war chest.
