2016 Postmortem
Showing Original Post only (View all)ATTENTION DEM 2016 CANDIDATES: HEED THIS WARNING! [View all]
If there is one thing that dems can take away from 2014 it is the fact that politicians on the Democratic side who distance themselves from president Obama are more likely to lose then the ones who embraced the POTUS on the campaign. Example: In the Kentucky senate race Allison Lundergon Grimes (D) completely distanced herself from the President particularly in the infamous "I'm not Barack Obama" TV ad that featured her shooting a shotgun in an open field and saying that she disagrees with the president on coal and guns. (Let's also not forget the interview where she wouldn't admit she voted for the president in 2012)

Grimes went on to get her ass kicked by a turtle in the election.
Meanwhile in Pennsylvania (my home state) Then candidate Tom Wolf (D) invited the president to speak for him on campaign rallies.

My great state now has a great governor.
Luckily Bernie and Hillary are defending the POTUS' record as of now and they better keep it that way.
