(37,648 posts)But the posts were many years ago, and she denied it. I didn't research it, read the posts or emails, and I don't really remember the details, if I even read them. Because I didn't care for her, to begin with. I've never seen her show. But I did dismiss the charges, sort of, because they were so old.
Opinions of gay marriage and such have changed drastically in the last decade. If you remember, there was gay marriage advocacy going on in the 2004 election, and it was an unpopular thing at the time. Most of the country wasn't in favor of gay marriage, as I recall, and esp didn't want it to be a political issue. I think the gay marriage issue was being talked about by the candidates who weren't in the running, really, for the nomination. It was not a widely held position.
