Its just like the Crime Bill in 1994 which African American communities supported as well..over time it was abused unfortunately, especially on state level when Rs took over those states....Stop and Frisk had been done since the early 80s, it just wasn't called that...instead of asking me, ask the African American officials etc who are throwing support his way enthusiastically, they will be better able to answer that question than I would. All I know is that living in NYC was safe under Bloomberg, I didnt agree with everything he did but overall he was a great mayor...and continued through Deblasio up until they passed this terrible bail reform law.
