(26,387 posts)All he has to do is harken back to the days of FDR. If you push all of the 1960 "establishment" rhetoric to the side, all things substantial that he is proposing was in line with FDR's New Deal era politics.
Today's Tennessee Valley Electrification is Green Energy; CCC Era is infrastructure investment; GI Bill is Affordable Education; Medicare for All is a combination of Medicare and Social Security.
My biggest issue is his avoidance of association with this.
I voted for Elizabeth because of this - she doesn't run away - in fact she ran to the Democratic Party for these ideals when she saw the Republican Party of her youth for what it was - a bunch of corporate hacks. I just think Joe is not ambitious enough.
But unlike some Bernie Bros (who may be Twitter trolls), who I've read online, I will vote for Bernie if he wins. I will vote for Biden if he wins, I will vote for the Democrat who wins.
