is that the audience doesn't ask "tough questions."

Never mind that the people will most likely ask questions pertaining to issues that actually affect their lives, which the CMCs do not want to focus on.

The corporate media conglomerate pundits would much rather remain the gatekeepers to information and the shape-rs of public perception, so they focus on personality, appearance or anything superficial that will distract the public with the critical issues only being addressed on a periphery basis and in some cases never and almost always from a corporate-centric point of view.

They would much rather the people focus on a tree rather than the entire forest.
