(8,144 posts)Do not know how any one could read his opening salvo as being anything else than support for all forms of civil rights. NAACP accorded his Voting record 100 percent supportivein 2006. In 2012, as VP, Biden addressed NAACP convention and was booed because he stopped the speech. His focus was on voting rights. Said Roslyn Brock the groups chairwoman at the time, He has been a lifelong friend to the NAACP. He has been a strong advocate for justice and equality over his decades of service in the Senate and the White House. 50 percent of the audience gave him a standing ovation.
Throughout his long career, Biden has been open to change, for example, voting to give Bush authority to go into Iraq, but becoming an outspoken critic of that occupation.
