Watergate was when Nixon tried to fix the 1972 election.

At the time Nixon was the Republican nominee but nonetheless a private citizen, not a part of the U.S. government.

On the other hand, the Comey/FBI/email fiasco was when an official part of the US government tried to fix an election.

I submit that is worse than Watergate.
