Urticaria Vasculitis

So I am sitting in the hotel lobby of this little Podunk casino in northern Mississippi waiting to check in and glancing up at the TV and there is a syndicated show on called "The Doctors." I don't remember ever seeing it in my home in Asheville NC as it is not mine or my husband's cup of tea, so to speak.

There is an African American woman on the show, covered in painful hives, a condition I relate to all too well. I have suffered from recurrent hives for over 15 years. (I have also been told it is mental, by family and friends.) But this woman's case is so severe, maybe it isn't the same, I mean, she has taken it to total extremes and just annihilated her skin and her health in the process. The show proceeds. They test the woman, they discover what she has, they give it a name, (it is r-a-r-e!) but it is t-r-e-a-t-a-b-l-e!!!!!

Now, after 15 years, I feel like an incredible weight has somehow lifted off my shoulders....I cried at first. I wanted to dance next and scream after that. Then I wanted to yell at my family and holler the "I told you so's".

I have been so sick and tired of being sick and tired from this disease. I am going to my g.p. this Monday armed with all the data I found on the internet after watching this show and discovering that this was 100% me.

I guess the reason I am writing this is that I want other people to not give up, no matter what they are suffering from. I have suffered from this over 15 years, as I stated. I am also a three time cancer survivor. I have a non-operable brain tumor. I am diabetic. I am a survivor!!!!!!!!! This is a great and wonderful new day!

132.9 Billion still owed to the taxpayers

According to a story I just read, taxpayers are still owed $132.9 billion dollars from the bailout. Figure seems a tad low, but okay, I will buy that figure...providing Uncle Sam can do me the following.

Right now there is a population of 312,000,000, that's 312 million in the U.S. But by the time they get around to realizing this figure, I will add in a million. Divide the 132.9 billion by 313 million and you get $443 per person.

Now to Nutsy Newt and Millionaire Mittens, that is just chicken feed. So they can just donate their share, or maybe Newt can start to pay off his Tiffany's charges.

As for me, my disabled veteran husband, my disabled daughter, and my 81 year old mother living on SS, I will happily take a check for all four of us in the amount of $1772 for the four of us. This check must not bounce. I cannot afford the fees my bailed out bank charges.

With this money I can turn my heat up tonight past 66 degrees since it is supposed to get to 27 outside my mobile home. With this money I can get a new winter coat for my hubby since his 7 year old one has lost its stuffing. I can afford all my meds since my copays on 17 different scrips went up about 40-47% each. I can put hamburger in my hamburger helper. I can get my 90000 mile check on my 11 year old car that now has 94500 miles on it.

Okay, I admit to a little bit of stretching the truth here....I know the government is not sending me what they owe me....but it is nice to know that a girl can dream and laugh and still prove a point.

And before I get any crappy letters from people telling me I am unAmerican, disenchanted, negative, lazy....it is my opinion and I am entitled to it. Don't like it? Don't by god read it then! Don't get it? Too bad, so sad...not everyone agrees....isn't that what makes this country so incredible to begin with??????

Peace out!

Out of the mouths of little children

I was recalling the conversation I had with my older grandson the day his baby brother was born (about 4 years ago) and it still makes me laugh.

He had called me (and yes, it was with Dad's help) to tell me that "mommy had gone to the "hoss pistol" to have his baby brother." Before I could get a word in, he continued. "You see, she swallowed him a long time ago and now he went and gave her a tummy ache. So she is gonna go and "frow him up" and bring him home."

And that was his 3 year old explanation...and I believe he nailed it! What do you think?

At first I was disgusted...

I really was disgusted (at first) to live so close to so many folks in South Carolina who don't seem to understand the low down nasty scummy whoremonger that just won their primary....but then, I came to see the manure that Newt spews will give a certain Democrat the greatest fertilizer ever! I see this as a positive for our incumbent, though I think sometimes I have had regrets about Barack.
So with the Republican dung in full speed, and the fact they cannot seem to join forces with each other or stop backstabbing in their own party, we come up smelling like roses -- 'cus bullshit sure produces great blooms, and the Republican party has been laying it out pretty thick!
