Penzey's! Is this ok for Gen Discussion?

Hi, all. I love Penzey’s and was a fan long before they became such a strong voice for our democracy. I just want to suggest that folks check out their website and sign up for their newsletter. It’s inspirational!

AND note that giftcards are on sale right now. I buy them and use them for myself sometimes, and enjoy giving them as gifts, too. And if someone gets one and doesn’t use it (hah, silly people) it works as a donation to a company that is doing real, true good in the world!

Northern lights!

The last time I saw such a show, there was a comet, Hale-Bopp, surrounded by the aurora. Tonight was another glorious display. Lots of red and shifting sheets and columns of green, at one point filling fully half the sky to the apex over my head. I wish I had had better dark, but even just a couple of miles west of town, it was amazing. Yow.

I’m in central Maine, by the way. I hope folks farther west get a good view in turn!

The slimy misogynist Chris Rufo asked on twitter “on a scale of 1 to 10” how effective is this protest. It has been suggested, by someone on the battlefield, that a bomb of replies of “eleven!” Would be fun.
