Russian trade surplus growing, due to high oil prices.

Europe is unwillingly financing the war, so to speak.
Stay by huge amounts of oil from Russia.

Ukraine posts video of Russian nuclear workers criticising Moscow

Source: Reuters

Ukraine's nuclear energy authority on Friday published a video of what it said were four Russian guards who had accompanied a delivery of fuel elements, visibly uncomfortable as they made statements criticising Russia's military operation in Ukraine.

The authority, Energoatom, said on its Telegram channel that the men had accompanied a shipment of Russian fuel rods to Ukraine's Rivne nuclear plant last month.

Russia's nuclear power body, Rosatom, issued a statement demanding "the employees' speedy and safe return home", according to the Russian news agency RIA.

The video, which has obvious cuts, shows the four employees sitting behind a table, speaking haltingly in low voices to identify themselves as Rosatom employees.

Mutinous Russian troops ran over their own commander, say western officials

Source: The Guardian

Western officials have said they believe a Russian commander was run over by mutinous forces during the fighting in Ukraine, in a sign of what they described as the “morale challenges” faced by the invading forces.

They highlighted – and repeated – reports from earlier this week from a Ukrainian journalist that a colonel of the 37th separate guards motor rifle brigade was run over by a tank. Some reports said he had died of his injuries.

One official said they believed that the brigade commander was “killed by his own troops” as “a consequence of the scale of losses that had been taken by his brigade” in the bitter fighting.

I read elsewhere that he died.
Not sure how you survive being run over by a tank.

Basic logic tells you that Russia is lying about the reason behind their imminent surrender.
The fake goal for this war was to eradicate the Nazis in Ukraine.
Now Russia said they will focus their efforts in Donbass.

So Russia wants us to believe that their.bombs surgically killed all the neo-nazis in Ukraine, or something (except in Donbass).

Let's face it. Putin just realized he lost a war to a country with hundreds of times fewer and less sophisticated weapons.
He wants to save face by saying "We won everywhere so we're withdrawing'.

Mission accomplished!

Russian officials may soon need to call up more conscripts and reservists to replace their heavy los

Source: Business Insider

If anyone will be immune to Russian state propaganda, it will be the mothers.of dead Russian soldiers.
Moms don't wanna hear any excuse about their kids dying because "they had to go kill Nazis", or some other made-up excuse.

P.s.: The headline was truncated because it's too long for DU limits. The last words are "heavy losses in Ukraine"

Russian TV is saying Ukrainians are blowing up their own buildings

Here is Russian TV saying that the destruction caused in Ukrainian cities is the result of Ukrainian "nationalists" leaving "no stone unturned" upon retreating.

No wonder they get along with Donald Trump so well. There's no limit to how big their lies are.
