Gov. Andy Beshear would be the perfect VP if not for Kentucky

I'm from Kentucky and I see the governor up close and personal. He checks all the boxes except for being in a swing state, so I get it why she won't choose him.

But boy, Gov. Beshear is a political knife fighter. Don't let Andy's nice guy/choir boy act fool you. He's about as cunning and cutthroat of a politician you'll ever find. He's pretty ruthless with a smile on his face. There's a reason why he torpedoes Republicans in this state. His father taught him well. He's a MASTER politician. He would be perfect for Harris if not for the swing state stuff.

He won in counties in eastern Kentucky that voted 70% for Trump. He has a silver tongue.

And just like that, Georgia and North Carolina are back in play

African-Americans in both states will come in droves. Harris will put more states in play for our side.

Pres. Biden needs to address grocery prices and rent

They are the reason traditional Dems are upset. The grocery prices effect the middle and lower classes more than the rich so that's why you have such dispirited Dems at the moment. I don't really ever hear anything from the WH about grocery prices. Gas prices are stable, so that's not it.

Yes, it's nice that people have jobs, but when you overpay for inflated groceries it almost doesn't matter. I think most people don't blame him for the prices, but he needs that Bill Clinton moment "I feel your pain..." He needs to press Congress for more SNAP money. He needs to call out the CEO's of companies like PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, KraftHeinz, Kellogg, etc. which are price gouging consumers. He just needs to ADDRESS the issue. We know he can't wave a magic wand, but just do something.

I think the WH thinks if you don't say anything, then it'll just simply fade away in time. That's not true. It also doesn't help that he has no adequate voice on economic matters. Our Treasury Secretary is not up to the task for TV. Yellen is smart as a whip and knows her stuff, but she is not a good media spokesperson.

If he loses the election, this is why. Those un-informed voters will always say groceries and rent were cheaper under Trump, even though prices are up all around the world.

Barack Obama needs to buy Trump Tower in NYC

Whenever it comes up for sale, which we know eventually will happen. Obama needs to form a coalition of partners and investors and put his name on it....BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA TOWER. I think that alone will create a widowmaker for Trump. That'd be one way to get rid of him.

KY Gov. Andy Beshear is out of central casting for a Democratic politician

It boggles the mind why he isn't thought of higher for national office. I keep hearing everyone talking about Whitmer, Pritzker, and other blue state politicians. But Beshear has them beat, in my humble opinion.

He's fairly progressive. He's not some Joe Manchin type of red state Democrat. He's a legit Democrat. He has an unblemished past. He has a beautiful family with 2 young kids. He has won in counties that are in Appalachia, which is UNHEARD of for a fairly liberal Democrat. He even won my rural county outside of Lexington. Someone name me a Democrat politician that can win in red counties, like in Appalachia? He should be on the short-list for any ticket. Our party is bonkers if we don't get people like him on a national stage. I'm tired of our party only looking at blue state Dems.

Beshear is the type of guy that can go into red counties in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio and talk to those voters there. He has that type of personality. Republicans could never tag him as some "radical" Democrat. His grandfather was a preacher in a small rural county in western Kentucky. He knows how to relate to those types of people. But he also knows how to speak to urban voters. He's a unicorn.

Is Antony Blinken an effective Secretary of State?

This is just a discussion...Perhaps I'm not as educated on this as I should, but it seems Blinken has been in office for nearly 3 years without any major achievements or breakthroughs. I see him trotting all over the Middle East but it seems everyone is rebuffing him and sending him on his way.

He's definitely qualified and knows his stuff, but it seems getting deals and negotiations aren't his strong suit? In the absence of war and strife, perhaps he'd be doing just fine, but with 2 major wars going on he's not looking very effective to me.
